Wetsuit hood alternative?
I will be diving in 50 degree water but right now don't have a wetsuit hood. Is there any thing such as wearing a beanie in water or something to keep me head warm? Thanks
It's a personal choice. Some people are more cold tolerant than others. I've dived 54F with a backwards facing , mesh covered baseball hat because I'd forgot my dry suit hood. I wasn't uncomfortable but I also wasn't as warm as I would have been with a hood. Anything is better than nothing when push comes to shove. Yes, they do make neoprene beanie caps. I use mine quite a bit in mid 50's F and up.
