Tools of the Trade: Dimitri and Cameron Maramenides If you’ve spent
any time in Cape Hatteras, NC or on the kiteboarding forums, you will have
certainly met Dimitri Maramenides. He is very enthusiastic about his company,
Epic Kites, and the gear he helps create. We caught up with Dimitri to find
out what gear he and his young son, Cameron, use.KITES:We have three and a
half models of kites: Renegade, Screamer, Judge, and a fourth one coming out
soon called The Racer. I love the Screamer. It was designed to do all tricks
and then, once done the trick, be able to land. The Screamers are my jumping-
hang-time-board-off-handlepass kites. I designed the Renegades as my surf
kite, but I don’t advertise it as a surf kite because it’s also an

Best Surfboard type for small waves?

Hi i live in San Diego, California.

ive been told that for small waves such as the ones you find here in san diego i should buy a Fish type surfboard, ive been using a foamie for 1 season and i want a new board.

What do you recommend?

You should ride whatever type of surfboard is fun and challenging for you. But if you are an intermediate to advanced level surfer and want to take full advantage of your wave conditions, this guide will help point you towards some boards that consistently work well with certain waves.

If you are a starting or beginner level surfer, you will want to stick to a longboard or funboard in small to medium sized surf, but this guide can serve to set goals to strive for if you choose to progress to a new surfboard shape when your surfing advances.

So, im a surfer ( gurl ) and i would suggest u choose a funboard or longboard
