buying a skimboard, need room to grow?

I live in florida, and want to get a skimboard. I am 150 and growing. My question is this, if i get a medium board that goes up to 160lbs, will it still work for someone thats 165 or 170? I dont want to have to buy another skimboard later on because im too heavy for mine. Also, if i go for the large board (up to 180lbs) Will there be any down side? Im 6 ft supposed to b 6'4 when i stop growing, just starting to fill in a little bit. I get that i will probably have a little less manuverability with the large one. I just need someone thats experienced with skim boards to give me an idea or acceptable weights for the skimboard sizes. Planning on getting a VIctoria board.

You'll probably be better off going with the bigger board now. If you're really fast and an experienced boarder you can definitely continue to use the shorter board, but if you're going to be riding waves when you're that big the bigger board will just let you float that much longer.
