If your own IP address appears changed in your login details, is your computer hacked?
What wd be the remedy?
My friend checked and said my computer's own login ip address seems changed in a span of few days (no change in the connection actually). According to him, my comp is hacked (I know who is doing it). Do you think so?
Around the time my comp got hacked, this guy had access to my house and net connection (in my absence) and my comp too. The telephone line (which comes from the same connection) behaved funnily after that got it fixed today. The net also has been funny since.
What is the rememdy?
Is it even illegal? Is this not stalking? Using visitation rights to hack into a woman's computer? I am feeling very violated. Is it possible to prove this and is it illegal - like can u take action?
Most ISPs do not assign people static IP addresses. That being said, your home connection IP will rotate from time to time. This means your friend may be looking at his IP even though it is different from time to time.
