Hurley Phantom 60 Boardshort $55 The Phantom 60 is the boardshort that started a revolution. It is one of the best selling boardshorts we sell. It has become my personal choice for actual surfing due to its fantastic stretch - lightweight - and absolute failure to ever rash me. I have tested these boardshorts thoroughly since the first proto-types were introduced many years ago. All Phantom boardshorts are made with Hurley's Phantom fabric. This is an extremely flexible and lightweight material that was first developed by Nike for use in speedswimmers bodysuits. It is slightly hydrophobic (so water beads up on it) and has a massive amount of stretch. It dries extremely quickly as well. Although Hurley now makes Phantom boardshorts in lots of different flavors - I still prefer this solid basic. If you don't own a pair - then you owe it to yourself to jump on board. Despite all the other stretch boardshorts in the market - I still find the Phantom to be the ultimate in comfort and function on serious surf missions. Hurley Phantom 120 Brdshrt $99 Hurley set the boardshort world ablaze with their unbelievably stretchy Phantom fabric. This material is the result of them teaming with Nike who developed this fabric for the fastest swimmers in the world. When we first started selling these - everyone had to have a pair. The bummer for Hurley is that fabric is so tech that they were literally losing money on every pair. What they ended up doing was changing the blends of this fabric around so that they had a slightly less stretchy but still epic version known as the P60 which sells for $55. With that base covered - they were able to go all-out with this mega-tech version that has an even stretchier version of the Phantom fabric than the original. It is the ultimate boardshort and the choice of pretty much every surfer I know when travling to the tropics. It is finished with a zip pocket - lycra lined fly - and foil logos. Are boardshorts comfortable?
I mean, when swimming and when they are wet. Are the comfortable to you or do they feel sticky and heavy?
I bought a pair of Hurley Phantom 60 boardies and they feel cold, clingy and heavy when I get out of the water. Wondering if it is just pair I bought or if they are all like that. They were $60, so they aren't cheap ones.
I have always work regular trunks that go down about mid-thigh, but my girlfriend says that guys should wear these longer, baggier ones. I don't think I like them.
Well, you have to chose why you go to the swimming pool. If it is to please the girls, wear boardshorts, they are the best. If you want to swim and to be in water without restriction wear trunks that are close to the body.
