Apple CEO Visit Hints at Gaming Push (Mobiledia)
CEO Tim Cook was spotted at gaming company Valve Software's headquarters,
according to Apple Insider, sparking rumors Apple is making a serious run at
gaming titans like Microsoft and Sony.
The rumored visit comes at a time when the Bellevue, Wash.-based gamer, which
created the Steam gaming platform that distributes and manages over 1,800
games directly to a community of more than 30 million players worldwide, is
looking for a hardware company to enhance its gameplay experiences. Cook's
visit also follows several moves by Apple to solidify its gaming portfolio,
potentially transforming the future of living rooms everywhere.
Apple could be looking to partner with Steam to develop a motion and voice-
recognition game technology, similar to Microsoft's Kinect, to operate with
its Apple TV project. An Apple-branded console with an interface would rely
heavily on motion and touch controls, something that could be at the heart of
the Valve talks.
Microsoft and Sony are both solidifying their positions with the Xbox 360 and
PlayStation 3, since the consoling gaming systems are now considered
legitimate home entertainment options for millions of people to watch digital
video content.

Hey Linux people Debian or Yellow Dog for PS3?
Ok i'm going to put Linux on my PS3 this weekend and my top 2 choices are Debian and yellow dog.
I know a ton of people love Debian cause of the automatic updates and what not. My brother and Law is telling me all these great things about it. I'm a OS X, but Linux is really interesting to me.
I basically want it on my PS3 to learn more about it and as as extra entertainment tool on the PS3.
So which version is better for the PS3?
Oh and i don't care if you don't like the PS3. Thats not what i'm asking and in my question i meant to say i'm a OS X user.
